I hated Halo 5's story like most, but this one liner stands out to me as a really good one. Just an all around great quote that really hammers in what Master Chief is going through. And the way Chief says this line makes it sound like he doesn't believe what he is saying, and more like he's trying to convince himself of this quote instead of Lasky. The cold and silent atmosphere and Chief staring into space like a statue is an incredibly telling image. The ending scene to Halo 4 with Lasky and Chief on the ship looking over Earth is one of the best cutscenes in any game. Halo 4 - "Our duty as soldiers is to protect humanity, whatever the cost." It really stands out and sets the tone that this is the end. I love how the quote gives off an "oh shit this is it" sort of vibe. Halo 3 - "We'll head for the portal, and we'll all go home." I really like how kind of sarcastic Chief is in Halo 2, and this line represents that perfectly. Honestly Halo 2 had so many great Master Chief lines that you really can't go wrong.
Halo 2 - "To give the Covenant back their bomb." This is both the most memorable Chief line in Halo 1 and one of the most interesting, since Bungie never originally planned on making sequels to Halo. Halo 1 - "No, I think we're just getting started." Thought it'd be cool to look at what everyone considers to be Master Chief's best line in each Halo game he appears in.
